The aim is to enhance institutional capacity among development actors for collaborative governance and management of agro-food systems towards sustainable, inclusive, and resilient food security and nutrition, ecosystem stewardship; and climate resilience among smallholder farmers and pastoralists.
Position
ERMIS wish to recruit a team leader for its business development and resource mobilization portfolio to engage in accelerated building a bankable business strategy for innovative consultancies and philanthropic initiatives. The incumbent is expected to establish new, upscaled, predictable, and sustained resource mobilization arrangements and mechanisms.
Duties
(1) Business development : (a) Preparing strategy for innovative business services and market mix in line with the organizations' vision, mandate, and philosophy for sustained, inclusive, and resilient organizational growth; (b) Identifying, evaluating, designing, and developing new business products, services, and lines; and .
(2) Design and execute a resource mobilization strategy to ensure sustained progress towards identifying, accessing and obtaining new, predictable, upscaled, and sustained incomes for organization growth
(3) Strengthen existing and establish new innovative networking and collaborative partnerships arrangements to unlock new, upscaled, predictable, and sustainable flow of finances and other support resources
(4) Establish a roster of associate professionals interested in strategic engagement in responding to consultancy tenders and developing proposals under agreed upon modalities.
(5) develop and ensure application of Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) to safeguard the quality and sustainability of the existing and new business opportunities, partnerships, and income flows. Performance will be based on weekly successful submissions of professionally prepared resources mobilization instruments including consultancy bids and development of proposals among others.
Qualifications :
A masters degree in relevant disciplines including agriculture, environmental sciences, natural resources management, social sciences, and development studies among others with experience of at least 3 years in relevant assignments. Training or proven experienced in business management will be an added advantage.
